One more brick has been laid for Black SGL films this morning with the announcement that Roman by: Dwayne Vernon would be adapted to film. The author put out a post about the film on his Facebook page and you can read it below:
Morning Fam,
I hope all is well with everyone. I’d like to take a few minutes of your time to talk about a project that I am currently working on. My third Novel, Roman is being transformed into a full-feature film. Talk about being excited? I can’t stop pinching myself to be sure I’m not dreaming.
The film will be directed by Kareem Ferguson, who is a director of 4 short films, and a few of them have made it to Film Festivals in Belize and Los Angeles. When you have a moment, check out more about Kareem on his website,www.Kareemferguson.com.
Because Roman will be an independent film, it comes with a $100,000 budget, and I am reaching out to all of you and others to request donations. I presume if I can ask 5,000 friends, family members, and others to donate $20.00; or ask 1,000 friends, family members, and others to donate $100 dollars, this would help us reach the goal to complete my project.
If you would like to make a donation, please go to the film’s website at http://www.themovieroman.com; click on the head shot of Kareem Ferguson, and listen to the pitch. Also embedded in the website is an 8 minute slice of Chapter 36 of Roman. I hope you will enjoy it, and more than anything, I hope it will appeal to you into wanting to see more of it!
I thank you for your time, and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. You can also check out my website about more of my novels atwww.dwaynevernon.com
Thanks for everything,
Dwayne Vernon
